KABUL, July 5, 2017 - To mark the occasion of International Sports Journalists' Day, Sports Journalists Association of Afghanistan ASJF with collaboration of Afghanistan Football Federation organized a footstall friendly match between Afghan sports Journalists.
The aim was to bring sports Journalists together and celebrate the day with a sport game.
ASJF President Sayer Zaland congratulate all sports Journalists and added that due to the fake news in social media journalists have to be very careful for their news and reports.
He addressed sports Journalists and expressed that ASJF is fully committed to work as only high council for sports Journalists and a bridge with international community.
Zaland told media that social media is not under control and not using well. “Sports media have to be clear is sport is and we have to do our best to fight problems in sports organizations. Zaland said.
In the second part ASJF member sports Journalists played a friendly football match and cut a cake of celebration of the day.
Afghanistan football federation then awarded some ASJF members with appreciation letters for doing their best in past year for the sport community.
Afghanistan sports Journalists have a plane to organize a second part of the celebration on next Thursday to open ASJF HQ in Kabul and speak about sports and media challenges in the country.
