LAUSANNE, November 15, 2017 - The media accreditation and accommodation deadlines concerning the IAAF Athletics Awards 2017(24 November) and the IAAF Council Meeting press conference (26 November) in Monaco have now passed.
Any late applications sent to email@example.com will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are dependent upon the capacity of the facilities.
(Accreditation is required for all)

- IAAF Athletics Awards: 1945hrs, Friday 24 November
Room: Salle Prince Pierre, Grimaldi Forum, 10 Avenue Princesse Grace, 98000 Monaco.
Dress code: dark suit and tie / cocktail dress
Seating: There will be dedicated seating for media to watch the awards live from inside the Salle Prince Pierre. There will be wifi available in the room.
Mixed zone: All media have access to a red carpet mixed zone via which all guests will exit and enter the Salle Prince Pierre. Broadcasters, on a first-come-first served basis, will be offered primary positions to set up their cameras in front of a branded backdrop. The awards can also be viewed from the mixed zone via monitors.
While it’s not possible to film the awards show in the Salle Prince Pierre, video highlights will be made available to broadcasters.

An informal media breakfast will be attended by IAAF President Sebastian Coe and the newly crowned 2017 Athletes of the Year.
- IAAF Council Meeting press conference: 1330hrs CET (tbc), Sunday 26 November
Room: Atlantique III, 2nd Floor, Sea Club Conference Centre
While there is no access to the Council Meeting room and the meeting will not be transmitted in any form, B-roll footage of the room will be made available and the press conference will be live streamed on the IAAF’s YouTube channel.
212th IAAF Council Meeting – discussions and decisions
The two-day Council Meeting will focus on the day-to-day business of IAAF HQ with updates from IAAF departments, IAAF commissions, working groups and taskforces. These will include the latest report from the IAAF Taskforce concerning Russia.
There will be progress reports from the local organising committees of various 2018 IAAF World Athletics Series (WAS) events.
Council will also
decide the hosts for the following 2020 WAS events:
World Indoor Championships: candidates - Nanjing, CHN; Belgrade, SRB; Torun, POL
World Half Marathon Championships: candidate - Gdynia, POL
World Race Walking Team Championships: candidate - Minsk, BLR
(World U20 Championships: candidate - Edmonton, CAN. The decision will take place at the Council Meeting in March 2018)

Media accreditation card – collection
Please enter the Sea Club Conference Centre via the main entrance and proceed immediately to the IAAF media help desk to collect your media accreditation card which will be delivered upon presentation of a photo ID or your valid press card.
Your media accreditation card must be worn at all times.
Media working rooms
The media working facilities will be located in two separate rooms, one for the Awards and the other for Council Meeting. Both rooms will have desk seating with power and high speed internet. There will be refreshments available throughout the day.

There will be dedicated transport from the media hotel (Novotel) to the Sea Club Conference Centre, Le Méridien and the Grimaldi Forum. (A full schedule will be sent to accredited media next week).
