ROMA, December 5, 2017 - During the first day of discussions the AIPS Executive Committee was hosted by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) at their headquarters.
PRESIDENT MALAGO WELCOMES AIPS “I am very happy about the relationship between AIPS and CONI, I spoke to the president Gianni Merlo a time ago about this happening and what I can tell you by heart is that this house is your house, not just today but forever and ever”. Malagň underlined the importance of the strong relation between sports journalists and National Olympic Committees for the common interest of defending sports values.
USSI/CONI AWARDS “CONI is a very big and strong family since many years ," Malagň pointed out. "Inside this committee there are a lot of initiatives and the USSI/CONI Awards recognize the additional values of our sport, not just the competition but something deeper. The awards are a demonstration of how much we believe the sports press, we wanted to recognize the journalists in this opportunity for their long careers in newspapers, TV, social media or radio, and I think they are honored to be here in this occasion.”
