A perfect Diving World Cup for Team China

WUHAN, June 11, 2018 - Diving powerhouse China could not have wished a better scenario for the FINA Diving World Cup 2018, which took place in Wuhan, China, from June 5-10.

The host team clinched every single gold medal on offer, in all 11 individual and synchronised events.

Multiple Olympic and World champions confirmed their dominance last week in the Chinese city: Xie Siyi took gold in the 3m springboard (557.60), while Chen Aisen was the best in the platform (557.80). The two divers added another gold medal to their tally by winning the 3m and 10m synchro events with their respective partners, Cao Yuan and Yang Hao.

In the women's competition, results were just as excellent for Team China: Shi Tingmao pocketed the gold in the 3m springboard, while Zhang Jiaqi stole the 10m gold. The two girls confirmed their superiority by claiming victory in the synchro 3m and 10m with their respective teammates Chang Yani and Zhang Minjie.

In addition to 11 gold medals, China bagged another 4 silver medals.

Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, DPR Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Ukraine and the USA were the other nations to step on the podium in Wuhan.
