AIPS Europe New Media Forum Rhodes 2010
AIPS Europe (UEPS)/STRENT Foundation’s first International Forum for New Media was held in the Aldemar Hotel from September 29 - October 3 on the Greek island of Rhodes, Seven members of the AIPS executive committee including forum host AIPS Europe (UEPS) president Yannis Daras (Greece) were present, as well as two commission chairmen
Esat Yilmaer (Turkey), AIPS first vice-president and president of the Turkish Sportswriters’ Association, AIPS treasurer Jorge Ribeiro (Portugal), vice-presidents Laima Janusonyte (Lithuania), Manouchehr Zandi (Iran) and Konstantinos Vernikos (Greece) , executive committee member Dobor Deszo (Hungary) and secretary general Roslyn Morris (Australia) all participated in the forum, together with chairman of the Basketball Commission Noah Klieger (Israel) and Handball Commission chairman Günter Pfeistlinger (Austria).
A number of speakers from academia, government and the traditional and online media took part in the forum
