Almost 200 people gathered to celebrate the “spirit of fair play” at a ceremony organised by AIPS with the support of the World Lottery Association (WLA), the City of Lausanne and the Canton de Vaud.
The Sandoz Room of Lausanne’s Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel was transformed for a glittering awards gala co-hosted by Marc Maury and CIFP Secretary General, Jean Dury.
IOC President Jacques Rogge gave the opening address, followed by welcoming speeches from AIPS President Gianni Merlo, and CIFP President Dr Jeno Kamuti, a former Olympic fencer.
