Swedish sport journalists elect female president

STOCKHOLM, May 27, 2016 - The Swedish Sportjournalist Federation (SSF) have elected their first female president since it was founded in 1949.  Lisa Edwinsson, a 33-year-old reporter at the Stockholm morning newspaper Dagens Nyheter was voted to the post unanimously at the yearly meeting. Lisa is currently following Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his teammates on their way to Euro 2016 in France. CONCACAF appoints Philippe Moggio as General Secretary

MIAMI, May 27, 2016 – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) today announced that Philippe Moggio has been appointed by the new CONCACAF Council as the Confederation’s General Secretary, effective June 13th, 2016. JOC investigation panel regarding the Tokyo 2020 Bid activities

TOKYO, 25 May 2016 - The Japanese Olympic Committee today announced that it has set up an investigation panel regarding the Tokyo 2020 Bid activities. The panel includes outside lawyers and an accountant which will investigate the consultancy agreement between the Tokyo 2020 Bid Committee and Singaporean company Black Tidings.Yoshihisa Hayakawa, Professor of Law at Rikkyo University and practicing lawyer admitted in Japan, is appointed to head to the investigation panel. Four Universality Places for Wrestling Awarded by IOC

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, May 25, 2016 – The Olympic Games Tripartite Commission of the IOC this week announced the appointment of four Universality Places for athletes competing in wrestling events at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
