AIPS flag on the top of the world

AIPS banner/flag has been displayed from the top of the mount Everest (8848mt.) by the young mountaineer and long distance runner Sanjaya Pandit.

KATHMANDU,June 7,2013 - Nepali ultra runner Sanjay Pandit scaled the summit of the earth's highest peak, Mount Everest with the AIPS flag in may last 2013.

Nepal Sports Journalists' Forum (NSJF) handed over the AIPS flag to ultra runner pandit.

NSJF said: "AIPS is a top organization of world sports press and Pandit will be the first runner to take the AIPS flag to Everest. We are honoured and feel proud to take the AIPS flag to Everest."

Pandit has run 2,100 km in total, having already scaled the 6,189-meter Island Peak and 8156–meter Manslu in Nepal.

Sanjay Pundit, who was on the Everest expedition carrying the AIPS flags to the summit, was forced to quit his quest after being injuredy and facing technical problems in last year.
