MINSK, May 8, 2014 - The Presentation of the series of stamps and the block for "Medalists of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi" was held recently at the NOC Belarus.
NOC Belarus and Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus presented a project dubbed "Medalists of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi" which included three stamps and blocks.
The ceremony of the official unveiling of of the current postal project was attended by Anton Kushnir (Champion of the XXII Olympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi, freestyle (aerals), Igor Rachkovskiy (First Vice-President of the NOC Belarus), Mikalai Kazeka (Head coach of the National Freestyle Team), Andrian Tsyybulski (Head coach of the National Biathlon Team), George Katulin (Secretary General of the NOC Belarus).
Champion of the XXII Olympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi Anton Kushnir was impressed.
“I like this stamp with my picture and all project. It’s very beautiful, high quality and we can see that everyone involved in this project have put their heart and soul into it. I will send stamps to my parents and friends.”
Darya Domracheva is away on vacation and did not attend.
Participants were also able to see an exhibition of art stamps for the Olympic theme.
On the day of issue stamps and block at the post office in Minsk there were special commemorative envelopes marked "First day."

Used pictures of journalists members of AIPS and BSPA accredited for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi: Natalia Ablozhei (BelTA ), Nastassia Marynina (NOC Belarus ), Serguey Neverkevich (Sovetskaya Belorussia), Aliaxandar Semianiaka ( NOC Belarus ) .
Belarus took part in its sixth Winter Olympics and for the first time in the history our team finished in 8th place in the medal standings: Belarusian athletes won six medals ( 5 gold and 1 bronze ) .
Medalists were: Darya Domracheva (three-time Olympic champion, biathlon), Alla Tsuper (Olympic champion, freestyle), Anton Kushnir (Olympic champion, freestyle),Nedzeya Skardzina(bronze medalist , biathlon).
Darya Domracheva, three-time Olympic biathlon champion was awarded the title "Heroine of Belarus".
