Novak Djokovic voted best athlete in 58th Polish Press Agency contest

WARSAW, December 28, 2015 - The winner of this year's edition of the Polish Press Agency poll for the ten best European male and female athletes of the year is Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open number 1 champion, Serbian NOVAK DJOKOVIC.

Djokovic is followed by Formula 1 World Champion LEWIS HAMILTON (Great Britain) and the Gold medal winner in the women's 200 meters at the IAAF World Championships 2015 in Beijing DAFNE SCHIPPERS (Netherlands).

The 58th contest was organized among European press agencies, with 22 taking part in the poll: AGERPRES (Romania), APA (Austria), ATA (Albania), BTA (Bulgaria), CTK (Czech Republic), DPA (Germany), EFE (Spain), ELTA (Lithuania), FENA (Bosnia&Herzegovina), HINA (Croatia), LETA (Latvia), LUSA (Portugal), MOLDPRES (Moldova), MTI (Hungary), SID (Germany), SITA (Slovakia), STA (Slovenia), TANJUG (Serbia), TASS (Russia), TASR (Slovakia), UKRINFORM (Ukraine) and PAP (Poland).
