BRASILIA, June 8, 2016 - With
the presence of three members of the Executive Committee of AIPS,
including the president of AIPS America, Gabriel Cazenave, the ABRACE
(Brazilian Association of Sports Journalists) held ts 42nd annual conference from 26-29 May in
Brasilia, bringing together representatives from 20 state entities. Important issues related to the profession were
treated in the three days of debate, including the importance of
membership to international organizations.
During the Congress, Aderson Maia,
president of ABRACE for 22 years, said this will be his last year as
head of the national association. This was the first time that Brasilia, Brazil's
capital, was the meeting point of sports journalists. In 2017, when the new leader of the ABRACE will be
elected, the congress will be held in March
in the city of Fortaleza, the host of the AIPS Congress in 2000.
