REMINDER - Media accreditation for the 67th FIFA Congress

ZURICH, March 1, 2017 - FIFA is pleased to announce that the application process for media accreditation for the 67th FIFA Congress 11 May 2017 is now open on the FIFA Media Channel (http://media.fifa.com).

The deadline for accreditation applications is 15 March 2017.

The 67th FIFA Congress will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama. Each applicantís information will be subject to a review process by FIFA, and successful applicants will be notified by e-mail. All applicants are responsible for organising any necessary visas, as explained below.

Further media-related information about the Congress, i.e. media accommodation, facilities and activities, will be available on the FIFA Media Channel. The entire Congress will also be streamed live on FIFA.com.

Accreditation for the 67th FIFA Congress will also be valid for various meetings taking place around the actual Congress itself; however, please note that supplementary access devices (SADs) may be needed due to the limited space available at the events.

Information for TV and radio broadcasters

FIFA will produce a world feed for the Congress and provide services for broadcasters wishing to attend. All services offered on-site are subject to booking and space availability and final confirmation. Interested broadcasters should contact broadcasteraccreditation@fifa.org for information and to receive the specific TV and radio accreditation link. SAD requests for broadcasters will be processed via a booking form that will be provided by the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing team to interested parties.

FIFA Media Channel

Media representatives who have not already registered for the FIFA Media Channel can do so at http://media.FIFA.com/registration. This password-protected online service is designed to provide media professionals with details on activities and logistical information relating to FIFA events as well as any special media announcements. Approval to access the FIFA Media Channel does not mean that you have been granted accreditation. The media accreditation process for any FIFA competition or event requires the completion of an event-specific accreditation form via the FIFA Media Channel.

Important: information on visas

In addition to the accreditation procedure, all media including TV and radio are required to send a clear, scanned, colour copy of their passport to fifacongressbahrain2017@bfa.bh.

Every media representative will be subject to a security check by the Bahrain Ministry of Information prior to being granted a visa. Only applications that meet all of the above requirements and that are submitted by 15 March 2017 will be accepted.
