TUNIS, December 12, 2017 - Students of the Faculty of Juridical, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis, who are aware of the importance of sports jurisdiction, were at the origin of the creation of the Sports Law Club.
This is an initiative that demonstrates the hard work that awaits the next generations for the creation of new sports laws that are in concordance with the development of sports in the world.
The club, which was created on 20 October 2017, didn’t wait too long to start working and organized a seminar on the importance of sports as a factor of social and economic development as well as the research that should be made on the evolution of sports and its harmony with the sports jurisdiction.
- Professor Fethi Mouldi, lawyer and expert in sports jurisdiction, former athlete and journalist for 30 years.
- Tunisian swimmer Oussama Mellouli, two-time Olympic champion.
- Mohsen Matri, financial expert, former handball player and former member of the Tunisian Handball Federation.
- Adnen Ben Mrad, president of Tunisian Association of Sports Journalists.
The discussions focused on the importance of academic research on the subject of sports jurisdiction, and also stressed the challenges that the sports press faces with regard to the evolution of sport around the world.
It is a great initiative that show how aware the students are of this issue, those students who will inevitably be the people of tomorrow and who will take over the country, including the field of press and sports legislation.
