Buenos Aires – April 23. Media representatives who wish to cover the Youth Olympic Games in the Argentine capital must complete an accreditation form on the IOC website before May 24, 2018.

Media representatives from outside Argentina who request accreditation after May 24, 2018 must make their own arrangements to request a work visa to enter the country (see Visa and Immigration section below).

To apply for accreditation, go to:

The Youth Olympic Accreditation Card (YOAC) will allow you to cover all four events:

- IOC Executive Board meeting: October 3 - 4.
- Olympism in Action Forum: October 5 - 6.
- IOC Session: October 8 - 9.
- 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games: October 6 - 18.

The registration process for media accreditation is for rights-holding broadcasters, non-rights-holding broadcasters, written and photographic press, Young Reporters and press attachés of International Federations and National Olympic Committees.

For media representatives who have successfully applied for accreditation online before 24 May 2018, the Pre-Valid Card (PVC), together with a passport or other official travel document, will serve as an entry visa to Argentina. The PVC will be sent to you directly by the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (BAYOGOC).

The IOC will be able to process late requests, but media representatives will have to make their own arrangements to request their own visa after 24 May 2018. BAYOGOC will confirm the exact visa process and potential costs at a later stage.

Any questions regarding the application procedure should be referred to the IOC Media Relations Team at

Visa and Immigration
All accredited participants of the Summer Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018, except Argentinian citizens, must possess a special “24-H” entry visa to be able to enter the country and participate in the event.
