Monte Carlo, July 25, 2018 - The 214th IAAF Council Meeting will take place at the Panamericano Hotel in Buenos Aires(ARG) on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 July 2018, as part of the centenary celebrations of the South American Athletics Confederation (ConSudAtle), which was founded in 1918 in Buenos Aires.
The IAAF media briefing will be held at 13:00 (local time), on the second day of the Council Meeting, in the Amazonas Room.
This media briefing is open to all media (writers, reporters, photographers, broadcasters). Those wishing to attend must apply to email@example.com so we are able to accommodate numbers.
Please note: there is no media access to the Council room and the meeting itself will not be transmitted.
The media briefing will be streamed live on the IAAF’s YouTube channel.
A media release summarising the discussions and decisions of the Council Meeting will be issued and published on the IAAF website that evening. The IAAF will also provide images, free to use for editorial coverage.
An IAAF media centre offering all the necessary media services will be operational in the Rio Colorado Room from 10am to 6pm on Thursday 26 and Friday 27.

Media accreditation process
A media pass will be required to access the media centre and attend the IAAF media briefing. These passes are dependent upon pre-registration on a first-come-first-served basis and the provision of the following information when applying:
Applicant’s name (all individual names for TV crews, including technicians, must be provided)
Mobile telephone number (for each person registering)
Name of media organisation being represented
Sports editor’s name and email address
Either (a) national press card number or (b) AIPS press card number or (c) PDF of a signed letter from their editor/producer accompanied by a scanned copy of the passport of the applicant.
All successful applicants must bring their identification documents with them when they collect their accreditation cards at the entrance of the Media Centre.
