AIPS website hacked, but restored within hours

LAUSANNE, October 10, 2018 - In the early hours on Wednesday, the AIPS website was hacked, rendering the platform inaccessible and complicating the organization’s operations. By lunchtime the website was restored and normal service was resumed.

Wednesday morning, visitors to the AIPS website were redirected from the landing page to a blue screen with the words ‘Hacked by turkz.org’ and a Turkish flag in the bottom left corner. The hackers did not claim responsibility or leave any message. AIPS has taken extra measures to step up its website’s security.
