DHAKA, September 22, 2008 – Political unrest in Bangladesh has prompted the Bangladesh Sports Writers Association (BSWA) to postpone its annual awards ceremony until October.
The BSWA will present its 2007 awards to players and sports personalities including Sakib al Hasan (Cricket), Ziaur Rahman (Kabadi), Shafiqur Rahman Munna (Organiser), Abdus Sattar (Special Achievement in Sports), Rajshai Zilla Sports Council (Active Association), United Insurance Company (Sponsor), Abdullah al Rakib (Chess, Player of the Year, S A Mohsin Trophy).
