IOC award for Gabriela Sabatini

Gabriela Sabatini, the outstanding world class tennis player, now retired, was the recipient of an IOC Award presented by its President Dr. Jacques Rogge, during the Opening Ceremony of the Pan American Sport Organization (PASO) in the Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires.

Sabatini was recognized by IOCīs Women and Sport Commission not only for her remarkable sport career, but for her constant contribution and dedication to the development of sport after her retirement as a competitive player.

Dr. Jacques Rogge and Argentinian Vice President, Daniel Scioli, were among the dignitaries that officially opened PASOīs General Assembly under the Presidency of Mario Vazquez Raņa.

Our First Vice President and FEPEDAīs President, Carlos M. Garcia attended this important event in order to strengthen AIPS' relationship with major sport organizations and its leaders.
