Circle Celebrates 75th Birthday

Circle members pose outside The Casa de la Moneda Museum which has one of the most important historical collections pertaining to money

The Circle of Bolivian Sports Journalists held its 4th Extraordinary Congress in the historic Casa de la Moneda, in the City of Potosí. Sports journalists from seven of the nine Bolivian counties commemorated the Organization’s 75th anniversary.

CPDB President, Fernando Nürnberg Zambrana said the event was a huge success.

Approved at the Congress were all of the Circle’s operating documents, including the Standing Orders, Organizational Rules, Code of Conduct, Accreditation Rules, Awards Rules, and the operating rules of the Court of Honor, which came into place in April.

Extension of agreement with Aerosur

For the third consecutive year, CPDB has managed to negotiate an agreement with airline AEROSUR. The agreement provides a discount of 50 per cent to sports journalists working in an official capacity and traveling to such destinations as Buenos Aires, San Pablo, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Miami and Madrid.

In order for the discount to be granted, Bolivian sports journalists simply need to request the CPDB-negotiated discount and provide a letter of authorization.
