Media accreditation open for BT Paralympic World Cup, Manchester

LONDON, March 10, 2010 - The BT Paralympic World Cup is the biggest annual multi-sport competition for elite athletes with a disability and the six-day competition will once again take place at two iconic city venues: The Manchester Regional Arena and the Manchester Aquatics Centre.


*         Athletics will take place at the Regional Arena on 25 May, with
international athletes competing in the afternoon event

*         Football 7-a-side, being included for the first time, takes place at the
Manchester Regional Arena from 26-29 May, with four men's teams competing in a round
robin tournament

*         Wheelchair Basketball takes place at the Manchester Regional Arena from
27-30 May, with four men's and four women's international teams competing in a round
robin tournament

*         The BT Paralympic World Cup Swimming finals take place on Monday 31 May,
during the BBC's live broadcast coverage of the event.
