BSWA organised a family day to commemorate the new Bengali year in May 2005 among our members including their near and dear ones to exchange their views and feel free to spend some time away from their official engagements. The day-long programme included sports for children, cultural functions and, last but not least, the typical Bengali dish was served to all. International Sports Press Day was observed on July 2 with due respect. A colourful rally was organised in the morning to attract people towards the interest of sports - its advantages and long term goals. In the evening two eminent sports journalists, Mr. Ranjit Bishwas and Mr. Saidur Rahman Raja were honoured with BSWA caps in recognition of their outstanding contribution in the interest of sport. BSWA is also extending its full co-operation with world and national bodies as well.
