PYEONGCHANG, March 22, 2011 - The PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Bid has been
given a boost in the final three months of the campaign with a new
national sponsorship agreement.
Tuesday, 22 March 2011, Taeyoung Engineering & Construction
presented a contribution of 300 million KRW (approx. 266,000 USD /
165,000 GBP), with a message promising support until the 2018 Host City
decision in July 2011. Taeyoung Engineering & Construction is a
prominent Korean construction company with a 35 year history.
Jong-Young Park, President of Taeyoung E&C said:
“We are delighted to be supporting the PyeongChang 2018 bid and we look
forward to working with the bid team for the remainder of the campaign.
It would be a wonderful honour for us to have the Winter Games come to
Korea, and I know the region and its people would offer a very special
welcome to all the athletes and fans from around the world.”
