"Global Sporting Arms Race" studied

BRUSSELS, Belgium, January 20, 2007 - An international comparative sport study focussing on the quest for international sporting success has been released in Belgium.

“Sports policy factors leading to international sporting success” has been authored by renowned Social and Behavioural scientist Professsor Paul De Knop and Elise Van den Bossche of the section “Sportspolicy & Management” (SBMA) at Brussels University (VUB), and produced by the “Vrije Universiteit Brussel” (Belgium), the “WJH Mulier Instituut” (The Netherlands) and the “Shefffield Hallam University” (Great Britain).

The document is of particular interest because it is under discusssion on a European political level in Brussels.
