World Aquatics set to make a splash: 2024 events preview
Cup 2024 from March 21 to 24. Sub- sequently, Soma Bay will witness the World Aquatics Beach Water Polo Cup 2024 from May 22 to 26. Additionally, the water polo calendar features U16 and U18 Championships for both men and women.
Prior to the Summer Olympics, Paris will host athletes and fans for the sec- ond event of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup from May 3 to 5. This event holds historical significance as the first international competition to be held at the new Olympic Aquatics Centre, the sole new permanent sports venue constructed for the Games.
The series' first leg takes place in Beijing, China, from April 5 to 7, followed by the third leg in Markham, Canada, from May 31 to June 2. The Super Final is sched- uled in the aquatics hub of Budapest, Hungary, from July 5 to 7. Aspiring artis- tic swimming stars will also demonstrate their skills at the Junior World Champi- onships in Lima, Peru, from August 28 to September 1.
Fans can also witness several open water swimming events in 2024, show- casing the world's top open water swim- mers competing in five iconic locations as part of the World Aquatics Open Wa- ter Swimming World Cup. Legs one to five are set in Soma Bay, Egypt (March 23-24), Golfo Aranci, Italy (May 26-26), Setubal, Portugal (June 1-2), Hong Kong (October 26-27), and Eilat, Israel (TBC). Italy will be a focal point, hosting the OWS Junior World Championships in Alghero from September 6 to 8, follow- ing their hosting of the second leg of the World Cup in Golfo Aranci.
Finally, the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 tour returns to the 25m pool for short course racing in Shanghai, China, Incheon, Korea, and Singapore, over three consecutive weekends in Oc- tober. These meets precede the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest, Hungary, concluding the global aquatics competition year.

These events include the 12th World Aquat- ics World Swimming Championships (25m) in 2014, nine editions of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup, four World Aquatics Marathon Swim World Series events, and a World Aquatics Div- ing World Series event in 2009. Enthu- siasts and spectators eagerly anticipate witnessing athletes striving to qualify for Paris 2024, showcasing their prowess, surpassing personal bests, and shining on the global stage.

Amidst the excitement surrounding the World Aquatics Championships in Doha 2024 and the Paris Olympics, the 2024 aquatics calendar promises a diverse array of action across various aquatics sports on a global scale.
The World Aquatics Diving World Cup is slated to hold events in Montreal, Can- ada, from February 29 to March 3, fol- lowed by Berlin, Germany, from March 21 to 24, culminating in the Super Finals in the sport's stronghold of Xi'an, China, from April 19 to 21.
Another highlight is the highly anticipat- ed return of beach water polo to the Red Sea at Soma Bay Marina, Egypt. Build- ing upon last year's immensely suc- cessful event, the inaugural age group international beach water polo games will grace Soma Bay in 2024, hosting the World Aquatics U18 Beach Water Polo
